Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud connect

Microsoft and Oracle are working from the cloud, enabling their clients to conduct business workloads around Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud. A direct network link and individuality interoperability between both clouds will even enable clients to seamlessly migrate workloads and information, the firms said.

Users may conduct 1 portion of a workload in Azure and yet another area in Oracle Cloud. The transfer also means Azure services like Analytics and AI may be linked to Oracle Cloud providers such as Autonomous Database. Users may, as an Example, run Oracle JD Edwards on Azure from an Oracle Autonomous Database that’s operating on Exadata infrastructure at the Oracle Cloud.

The Microsoft-Oracle partnership highlights the following new capabilities:

  • Linking Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud to empower extending on-premises info centers to clouds. The capacity is available initially from the U.S., together with plans to expand to other areas.
  • Unified access and identity management via one sign-on expertise and automatic provisioning, to manage funds across the clouds. Oracle software can utilize Azure Active Directory as an identity provider for automatic accessibility.
  • Deployment of Oracle software on Azure, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Retail, Oracle Hyperion, and Oracle JD Edwards, on Azure using Oracle databases, such as Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata, along with Oracle Autonomous Database located from the Oracle Cloud.

A collaborative service version will be provided to assist IT organizations manage the new capabilities. Additionally within this arrangement, Oracle Database will continue to operate in Microsoft Azure on different operating systems such as Windows Server and Oracle Linux. Microsoft and Oracle provide free trials in the Microsoft Azure site and Oracle site , respectively.
